There are several different things going on in Nevada and vicinity. For those who might complain that there isn't anything to do, there are several things to do. The biggest challenge may be which one to select. Monday the new Walton Park Family Aquatics Center opened. This will be a great addition to our community. I would have liked to have gone down the big slide myself before the season started. It did not happen, although I thought that I should test it to see if everything was in order...

Bernadine Theresa Volkman, 67, Milo, died Sunday, May 30, 2004 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin. Funeral Services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oxford with the Rev. Edmond Dunn officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Oxford. A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
