A new study shows that recycling sales in Missouri amounted to $5.1 billion in 2003. The Missouri Recycling Economic Information Study, conducted at the Institute of Public Policy in the University of Missouri's Truman School of Public Affairs showed that employees in the industry earned more than $700 million in addition to other indirect effects such as the purchasing of goods and services from other industries.. ...

Man injured in Monday school bus accident

A wreck involving a 1993 Pontiac driven by William Hibbs, 34, Nevada, and a school bus driven by Richard Hacker, Nevada, occurred at 3:15 p.m., Monday, when the school bus made a left turn from Ash onto Allison in front of Hibbs car. Hibbs was taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center with disabling injuries. No injuries were reported by the students or driver on the bus.
