Law streamlines marriage license procedure

Vernon Country Recorder of Deeds, Doug Shupe, has announced that beginning Aug. 28, couples getting married in the state of Missouri will no longer have to make two trips to the county recorder of deeds office to obtain a marriage license. Under current law, the bride and groom are required to appear before the recorder of deeds to make application, wait three days and then make a second trip back to pick up the license prior to their ceremony...
