Shirley Faye Gayman, 67, the daughter of Isaac and Lua Mae (Gunsaullus) Gilliland was born Sept. 2, 1940, in Gassville, Ark., and passed from this life on Monday, Aug. 25, 2008. Shirley spent her younger years in Arkansas attending a small country elementary school, then attending high school in Mountain Home, where she graduated in 1958.

Andrea and Daniel Wydick, of Milo, and big sister Rylee Lynn Wydick, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter and baby sister, Charli Jean Wydick. Charli was born at 4:24 a.m., on Aug. 21, 2008, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces, and measured 19 1/2 inches...

Aug. 27 An accident occurred at 6:23 p.m., at the golf course parking lot, involving a car driven by Danielle N. Mosher, of Walker, and a parked pickup owned by James and Lea Ann Miller, of Nevada. No injuries were reported.

The Nevada Lady Tigers fell to 1-2 on the season with a decisive loss to the Carthage Lady Tigers Thursday evening.
