Sept. 19 An accident occurred at 11:45 a.m., in the Pizza Hut parking lot, involving a motorized bicycle driven by Jeffrey H. Burrnell, of Nevada, in which the bike slid through a fuel spill on the pavement leaving the driver with evident, but not disabling injuries...

The Nevada Lady Tigers volleyball team traveled to Pleasant Hill Tuesday night. In the varsity match, the Tigers were able to sneak past Pleasant Hill in two close sets to take the win 25-21, 25-22. Mariah Mock led the team with nine kills and three blocks while Brooke Silvola and Kori Lowery each had nine assists...

The Cottey College Comets had an up-and-down match Tuesday night against Northeast Oklahoma A&M Community College, but were eventually able to prevail. in the first set, the Comets came out on top 25-17, despite commiting several errors. "We had so many errors, yet ended up winning that game," head coach Marla Foreman said. "I would say that NEO maybe had more errors than we did to help us win that one."...
