I have just added a new program to my computer. It is called IWorks. Like a kid with a new toy, I am playing with all the new intricacies of this program. Like an old fogey, I will likely look back to my desk computer and my trusty old "Appleworks" program, and long for its return in the not to distant future...

The City of Nevada/Vernon County Recycling Center located at 301 N. Colorado, Nevada, will be closed Saturday, Aug. 15. The recycling bin visit to Moundville and Bronaugh will continue as scheduled. On Saturday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m., Fort Scott National Historic Site will offer an evening tour highlighting dramatic scenes from the Civil War.
