Lemira Parks, state regent of the Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution, was the guest speaker of the Elizabeth Carey Chapter DAR on Sept. 8, at the Nevada Country Club. Mrs. Park's subject was "Daniel Boone -- A Great American Hero." The state regent's project has been the restoration of the monument placed on the original burial site of Daniel and Rebecca Boone near Marthasville, Mo., in Warren County. ...
