Wilma Nadine Fillpot, 87, Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Willow Lane Nursing Home in Butler, Mo. She was born June 28, 1922, in Nevada, to Arthur Elmer McMillen and Mary Louise Maude Creasey McMillen. She was married to John Fillpot in 1963 in Laredo, Texas, and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1972...

LeRoy "Punk" Mayfield, 62, a resident of Fort Scott, died early Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Freeman Health System in Joplin, Mo., following a brief heart ailment. He was born Feb. 29, 1948, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Bill Lee Mayfield and Cleta Irene Norbury Mayfield.
