Una Erline Bowles, age 85, former resident of Deerfield, died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the home of family members in Mapleton, Kan. She was born Oct. 28, 1924, in Redfield, Kan., the daughter of Harry E. Wilson and Pearl Gunsolley Wilson. Una was a 1942 graduate of Fort Scott High School. She married Lawrence Bowles on March 20, 1943, in Nevada. She worked for 20 years as a seamstress for Key Works Clothes both in Nevada and Fort Scott.
