Eula Irene Hays, 87, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Monday, March 1, 2012, at Mercy Hospital of Fort Scott. She was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Fort Scott. She married James A. Hays on June 15, 1947, at Pittsburg, Kan. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1991. In her earlier years, she had worked for Kress and Key Work Clothes.
