Maudie Mae Ramey, 89, of Nevada, passed away on April 10, 2013, at Nevada Regional Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Maudie was born on March 5, 1924, to Lewis Earl Mowry and Iva Pearl Tylar Mowry. She married Edwin Stephen Gawron Sr. on Nov. 20, 1943. To this union her only son, Edwin Stephen Gawron Jr., was born. Several members of the Healthy Nevada funding team have returned from a week-long training session at the Grantsmanship Center in St. Louis, where they learned many of the basics and finer points of grant proposal writing and grant funding.
