Nevada Middle School is set to host its annual volleyball skills practice and clinic Aug. 19-21, in the Nevada Middle School gymnasium. The clinic is open to all fifth- through eighth-grade girls interested in playing volleyball. The $25 registration fee includes instruction, a clinic T-shirt and snacks for all three days...

The Nevada Tigers football team will be hosting its first annual "Night Under the Lights Scrimmage and Tiger Tailgate." The night's festivities will include a cookout that will feature grilled burgers and bratwursts, which will be available for sale with chips and a drink for $5, starting at 8 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Parent Boosters' ongoing efforts to purchase a new scoreboard for Logan Field...

Monday marked the first day of preseason practices for fall sports across the state of Missouri. Nevada High School's Fall sports teams include the football and boys' swimming teams and the Lady Tigers volleyball, golf, tennis and softball squads.
