Mary Jane Wellington, 87, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sept. 12, 2013. Mary Jane was born in Deerfield, Mo., and had lived in this area most of her life. She worked for Procter and Gamble for many years before her retirement. Mary Jane was a member of the Methodist faith and was a volunteer at Kingswood. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Billy Wellington. Survivors include seven nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and -nephews and their families...

According to a press release from the Vernon County Sheriff's Office, Stormy Miller, 22, of Nevada was arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop in Nevada for the possession of a firearm and an explosive device.
