Nevada swimmers compete at Marlin Invitational meet

Osage Prairie YMCA swim team members competed Saturday at the Monett Marlin Invitational. Emma Leisure won the 100-yard individual medley, 25-yard freestyle and 25-yard butterfly races for girls 8 years old and younger, while Cody Leung was first in the boys eight-and-under individual medley and Carlie McCaffree won the 50-yard freestyle for 11- and 12-year-old girls. ...

Hume girls take second in conference tournament

BALLARD, Mo. -- The Hume junior high girls' basketball team competed in the championship game of the Golden Valley/Vernon County Conference tournament Saturday, taking on Montrose. The Lady Hornets were forced to play from behind throughout most of the contest as Montrose held the lead after the first and third quarters.
