Mary L. Mevius, 68, of Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Medicalodge, of Nevada. She was born on Oct. 24, 1947, in Eugene, Ore., to Otis Macklen and Mary E. (Newton) Macklen. Mary was raised in Eugene, Ore. She was a waitress and bartender in Sheldon and Nevada. Mary enjoyed watching TV and movies, doing crafts and she loved her family and dog, "Little Man."...

Mark Hewitt, 57, of Liberal, Mo., died on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, in Kansas City, Mo. He was born on Aug. 3, 1958, in Kansas City, to Clinton John Hewitt and Donna Elaine (Stidham) Hewitt Strong. Nevada Daily Mail The Missouri Department of Conservation wants to know what Missourians think about its nearly 1,000 conservation areas around the state. MDC is in the multi-year process of updating management plans for the August A. Busch Jr. Memorial Wetlands at Four Rivers Conservation Area.
