Rachel June Harmon, 74, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Sept. 7, 2016, at her home in Nevada. Rachel was born Oct. 8, 1941, in rural Horton, Mo., to Walter Sewell and Opal June (Webster) Harmon. Rachel was raised in Horton and attended school in Metz. After her father's passing in 1958 she along with her mother moved from the family farm to Nevada. Rachel continued to attend school in Metz and graduated High School with the Class of 1959...

The included picture was taken inside the Logan Field NHS Tiger Locker Room, following the September 30, 1966, victory over Lamar in the annual 'Silver Tiger' contest. I found this picture in the Google newspaper archives. This particular article was part of the Sunday Nevada Herald (that was what the Sunday paper was named back then). Just seeing it again made the proverbial "hair on the back of my neck stand up."...
