Mary JoAnn Sallee
Mary JoAnn Sallee was born on Nov. 8, 1939, and went to be with Jesus on Nov. 28, 2003, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center.
Mary loved to spend time with her family, watching movies chosen by her grandchildren. She looked forward to holidays, when her children and loved ones gathered together. She also enjoyed going to Branson to see a family member's country music show, where she was made to feel so special. Sitting in the sun was another pastime she loved, soaking up the warmth of a beautiful day.
Mary's decision to totally surrender her life to the Lord was on Oct. 8, 1999, which gave her peace within.
She was preceded in death by Junior Wunderlich, Dwayne Wunderlich, Bonnie Gragg, and Rose Hamilton. Survivors include her three sons, Rick Sallee and Robbie Sallee, both of Chanute, Kan., and Buddie Sallee, Humboldt, Kan.; her daughter, Rhonda Bland, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, Brant, Ricky, Ryan, Race, Chris, Adam, Keena, Catlin, Chance, Channing, Christian, Kaisha and Kelsey; and six great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her brothers and sisters, Ruby Hitt, San Juan, Texas, Grace Wiseman, Howard, Kan., Raymond Wunderlich, Howard, Kan., Jim Wunderlich, Piedmont, Kan., Betty Hamilton, Hayesville, Kan., Delores Powers, Cocoa Beach, Fla., Dottie Simon, Severy, Kan., Joe Wunderlich, Stroud, Okla., Harry Wunderlich, Piedmont, Kan., and Jerry Wunderlich, Atlanta, Kan.; nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Mar JoAnn Sallee were held on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at 2 p.m., at the Hackleman Chapel with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Interment was in the El Dorado Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Rick Sallee, Robbie Sallee, Buddie Sallee, Lyle Bland, Adam Sallee and Larry King.
