Thelma A. Finch Yarick

Thelma A. Finch Yarick, Hume, Mo., died Dec. 8, 2003, at Christian Health Care, Nevada, Mo.

Thelma was born Oct. 16, 1917, to Albert Furney Finch and Jessie Elizabeth (Curtis) Finch in Kansas City, Mo. She graduated from Hume High School in 1935 and attended Fort Scott Community College. She married Frank John Yarick on Nov. 25, 1937.

She was a member of the Hume Methodist Church. She served as President of the United Methodist Women for many years. She was past 4-H leader at the Hume Rose Leonard and Foster Cloverleaf Clubs when her children were in school and a charter member of the Neighborly Nan Extension Club.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Frank. She is survived by her children, John, of Raymore, Mo., A.F., of Rich Hill, Mo., and Marilou Crum, of Manchester, Mo.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, with services following at 11 a.m., at the Hume Methodist Church, Hume, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Hume Methodist Church, Box 102, Hume, MO 64752. Funeral services under the direction of the Sheldon-Booth Funeral Home, Rich Hill, Mo.
