Carol C. Poulter

Carol C. Poulter, 73, Appleton City, Mo., formerly of Rich Hill, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at Ellett Memorial Hospital, Appleton City, Mo. Mrs. Poulter was born April 27, 1930, near Metz, Mo., the daughter of Ray and Ruth (Payne) Christy. She was united in marriage to James I. Poulter, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1998.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Buzz Christy; and one sister, Rena Rains. She is survived by her children, Sharlyn Stocklaufer, Deepwater, Mo., and Steve Poulter, Butler, Mo.; one sister, Joyce Kenney, Nevada, Mo; one brother, Ray (Sam) Christy, Kansas City, Mo; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Sheldon-Booth Chapel with Bro. Bill Perkey officiating. Music was presented by Jane and Katie Klinksick, selections were "Amazing Grace" and "Memories." Casketbearers were Clint Klinksick, Lance Klinksick, Mason Poulter, Jerry Stocklaufer, Larry Boyd and Jewell Tourtillott. Honorary casketbearers were Bob Trammell and Harold Kenney. Interment was in Balltown Cemetery, Horton, Mo. Arrangements by Sheldon-Booth Funeral Home, Rich Hill, Mo.
