Clifford Eugene Majors
Clifford Eugene Majors, 72, Schell City, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs, Mo. He was born on Sept. 17, 1931, in Schell City, Mo., to Milton Lee and Dimple Vogt (Bybee) Majors. He married Lavona Mae Davis on Nov. 20, 1949, in the home of Brother Paul Birdsong near Flat Rock.
Mr. Majors graduated from Schell City High School in 1949. He was a farmer, he also ran the maintainer for Bacon and Blue Mound Township and also worked at the Nevada State Hospital. He was a member of the Blue Mound Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lavona, of the home; four sons, Doug Majors, Rockville, Mo., Bob Majors, Walker, Mo., Gary Majors, Nevada, Mo., and Bill Majors, Schell City, Mo.; three daughters, Sharon Sanderson and Linda Highfill, both of Schell City, Mo., and Jodi Harper, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wed., Jan. 7, at Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City, Mo., with Brother Gene Gray officiating. Pallbearers are Doug Majors, Bob Majors, Bill Majors, Gary Majors, Roger Sanderson and Tom Highfill. Memorials are suggested to the Bacon or Blue Mound Township in care of the funeral home.
