Christopher Eugene Basham
Christopher Eugene Basham, 43, Nevada, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1960, the son of the late Dale Basham and Mary (Williams Basham. On Sept. 4, 1981, he was married to TaLenna Lynn Pilcher in Joplin, Mo., and she survives of the home. Chris came to Nevada in 1974 and graduated from Nevada High School in 1978. He worked for the MK&T railroad for three years before going to work for the city of Nevada, where he worked for nearly 15 years.
In addition to his wife, TaLenna, he is survived by two daughters, Brandi and Christa, both of the home; his mother, Mary Basham of Nevada; one brother, Dale Basham, Pasorobles, Calif.; two sisters, Cynthia Rainey and Delpha Crain, both of Nevada; a grandmother, Helen Mitchell, Sedalia, Mo.; a grandfather, Eugene Williams, Nevada, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Mark Mitchell officiating. Those who wish may contribute in his memory to Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
