Precision Aero Services begins first projects in Nevada plant
In February 2003, Ken Loomer, Precision Aero Services president, was in Nevada looking for a building to house a new plant to rebuild aircraft components. On Friday, Loomer, who is a 1963 graduate of Nevada High School, was able to show off the first two aircraft components to be remanufactured at their new facility in the old Honeywell building on east Highland Street. There are currently eight employees working in the plant, however, Loomer said that they would be interviewing ten people this week for possible employment.
Loomer said that as the amount of work increased he will be adding new workers.
"I don't want to bring in guys without work for them to do," he said.
This plant will benefit not only provide new jobs for the area, but will also benefit the workers at Quality Products who have already built several work tables for Precision Aero.
Loomer said that he plans to have Quality Products build or repair any shipping crates that are needed, which will save the necessity of Precision Aero having their own carpenter's shop, as well a providing needed work for the employees at Quality Products.
