Mary E. Renfro
Mary E. Renfro, 81, Pleasant Hill, died May 30, 2004, at Lee's Summit Hospital in Lee's Summit. She was born on Nov. 11, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas, to Fred Newland and Myrtle B. Pattee Newland. On July 13, 1940, she married Hugh Renfro in Fort Scott, Kan.
She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Baptist church and active in the Boy Scouts. She lived in Nevada until 1959.
She was preceded in death by one infant son, Mark Eugen; and two daughters, Patricia Irene and Betty June Long. She is survived by her husband, Hugh Renfro, of the home; two sons, Jerry Renfro, Lake Lotawana, Mo., and Stephen Renfro, Grandview, Mo.; one daughter, Joyce Graham, Pleasant Hill; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Claudia Walker officiating. Burial was in Moore Cemetery, with the Rev. John Nichols officiating, at 2 p.m. Casketbearers were Jeremy Cassady, Jerry Graham, Hugh Graham, Jonnathon Renfro, Scott Renfro, Bryan Renfro and Steven Utley.
