Charles Loyal Malcom
Charles Loyal Malcom, 78, Augusta, Kan., died May 5, 2004. He was born May 14, 1925. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., with family present from 2 to 4 p.m., at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta, Kan. Services will be Monday, at 10 a.m., at the Hope Community Church in Andover, Kan. Burial will be at 4 p.m., in Dunnigan Grove, Bellamy, Mo. Charles served in the U.S. Army Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Beech Aircraft after 36 years in 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvie and Hazel Malcom.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Malcom, of the home; two sons, Charles L. Malcom, Houston, Texas, and Elvie Malcom, Augusta, Kan.; three daughters, Pamela Brock, Douglass, Kan., Mary Keefer, Rose Hill, Kan., and Martha Brooks, El Dorado, Kan.; two brothers, Joe Malcom and Don Malcom, both of Sheldon; one sister, Opal Helbert, Buckeye, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
