Over 30 area youth have been practicing at the Sheldon Trap Club since May 6 in the shotgun division of the Vernon County 4-H Shooting Sports group.

With the large number of shooters practice has been divided into two groups with one on Wednesday and the second on Thursday.

Results: May 6, top five, senior division-Skyler Beard, Kyle Cushard, Ethan Baldwin, Tyler Greer, and Heath Scotten.

Top five, junior division-Taylor Scotten, Aaron Greer, Josh Jeffries, Clayton Gray, and Tucker Ewing.

May 13-canceled due to rain.

May 20-senior division-Kyle Cushard, Matt Byers, Tyler Greer, Kevin Lee, and Klayton Leonard.

Junior division-Taylor Scotten, Aaron Greer, Megan Westerhold, Nathan Ryan, and Josh Jeffries.

The top senior shooter Kyle Cushard with 49 of 50 and top junior shooter Taylor Scotten with 46 of 50 were sponsored by Phil Boyle.

A potluck dinner was for all the shooters was hosted by Phil and Vickie Boyle in the Sheldon Trap Club clubhouse.
