Shooting sports results for July 1

July 1, was the night to be at Sheldon Trap Club for the 4-H Vernon County Shooting Sports Trap Shoot. These young people have been working for three months in preparation for this night. They were all winners, as we have watched them work hard at their skills.

Jr Winners were Aaron Greer with 25 X 25. He was followed by Tucker Ewing with 22 X 25. Taylor Scotten and Nathan Ryan tied with 21 X 25. Josh Jeffries hit 20 X 25 with Justin Carroll following close behind him with 19 X 25. Scott Lee and Maverick Frecking both broke 18 X 25. Corey Prough and Megan Westerfield tied with 16 X25. Other Shooters were Chase Domer, Trevor Howell, Klayton Leonard and D.J. Beeson.

Sr shooters, shoot 50 targets. Winners included Tyler Greer with 49 X 50, Ethan Baldwin and Kyle Cushard tying with 48 X 50. In the shoot off Ethan Baldwin won, taking 2nd Place. Derek Miner and Heath Scotten tied with 47 X 50. Matthew Byers, Nick Chadd, Kevin Lee and Blake Gazaway all tied with 45 X 50. J.R. Amick hit 44 X 50. Skyler Beard 41 X 50. Drew Shepherd, Zack Brawn, Danny Amick all tied with 38 X 50. Nash Thompson ended with 35 X 50.

All 29 shooters have improved their scores significantly since they began shooting in April. Congratulations Vernon County Shooting Sports. On June 16, Nick Chadd, shot his second 100 straight.

One June 23, and July 1 Tyler Greer shot 25 Straight.
