Paving project nears completion

It has been a long summer for residents living on city streets that are slated for paving, however, the wait may be about to end. Blevin's Asphalt, which has the contract for the street construction this year, is busily paving streets. They should be finished by September 17, which is the deadline in their contract. Above, Councilman Mike Straight points to the 300 block of west Sycamore that runs by his house, where he's still waiting for the pavers to come his way.
