Coroner's jury says Leonard caused the death of Roy Smith
County Coroner M.E. Ferry held an inquest Monday night in the case of the killing of Roy Smith, which occurred at the James Frizell home on East Austin street, Sunday night.
The inquest was held at the courthouse and was attended by a large number of people.
The state was represented by Prosecuting Attorney A.E. Elliott and Attorney D.Z. Gibson appeared for William Cole, who with Otis Leonard was being held in connection with the murder of Smith.

Nevada Scouts at final week of camp
Eight Nevada boys are attending Camp Nih-Ka-Ga-Hah, Boy Scout Camp southwest of Joplin, this week.
In the final week of the camp, Director Don Smith of Joplin reported that a new record has been set in attendance this year. 664 Scouts from the MoKan Council have spent the week at the camp this summer, representing 15 Southwest Missouri cities.
