The Nevada Public Library has received a Library Services and Technology Act Grant in the amount of $2,230 for the software licensing for Learning Express Library.

"Now you can have free and unlimited access to practice tests that will help you reach your school and career goals," Susan McBeth, library director said.

The Learning Express Library is an interactive online database featuring more than 300 practice tests based on official school and career exams, including ACT, SAT, GED, ASVAB, firefighter, police officer, paramedic, EMT, basic, U.S. citizenship, postal worker, cosmetology and real estate sales agent and broker exams, among others.

"We feel this is a tremendous resource for our community. Come in and log on to one of our computers, select and then take the test you want. You get immediate scoring and detailed answer explanations," McBeth said.

The database provides recommendations for additional practice and online courses that will help students improve performance on a subsequent test. Test results will be stored in the student's personalized account, accessible only to the student.

For more information and a full list of tests and online courses available, check with the Nevada Public Library.
