The Cottey Comets will be back on the court tonight when they host Bible Baptist College at the Hinkhouse Center.

It will be the second meeting of the young season already for the two schools, as Bible Baptist won their first contest Nov. 12, in Springfield.

Bible Baptist beat the Comets 60-51 to open their own College Tip-Off Tournament.

In that game Carol Humphries led the Comets wih 14 points, and Cottey had two other players in double-figures with Danyca Singleton scoring 10 and Carisa Mitchell also dropping 10.

Bible Baptist had four players in double-figures in that game, with only five players scoring at all.

Jamee Sparks led Bible Baptist with 21 points, while Chelsea Hughes had 15, Kim Rathmann had 11 and Abby Meads scored 10.

In that game Bible Baptist did their damage from the field, holding a 48 to 37 percent advantage in converted field goal attempts.

The game is the second in a three-game homestand for the Comets, as they will also host St. Louis Community College-Meramec tomorrow, in both teams' first Region XVI game.

Cottey lost the first game in the homestand to Allen County Community College, 56-49.

After the homestand the Comets will be on the road for eight of their next 10 games.

Tip-off today is scheduled for 7 p.m., with tomorrow's game slated to start at 3 p.m.

The Comets are currently 2-5 this season.
