Show choir festival comes to town

The 15th Annual Nevada Show Choir Classic will be held at Nevada High School on Saturday, Feb. 19. This all-day event features more than 20 show choirs from Missouri and Kansas, and performances are open to the public. Treble Effects, Nevada's Girls Show Chior will perform at 1 p.m. The Soundsational Singers will perform at 6 p.m., prior to the announcement of finals, which will begin at 7 p.m. Nevada's jazz band will perform at approximately 9:15 p.m. Other choirs will be performing throughout the day. Nevada show choirs will not be competing in this event, but will perform for exhibition purposes only. Nevertheless, the Nevada singers have earned honors at other events.
