Lady Tigers receive basketball awards

The Nevada Lady Tigers held their annual awards banquet March 28. Awards were given for hustle, most improved, offense, defense and the most valuable player.
Sophomore guard/forward Afton Baldwin was given the Hustle Award.
The Most Improved Award went to senior forward Katie Rice.
The Defensive Award went to senior forward Lacy Leonard.
The Offensive Award was given to senior point guard Hillary Adams.
Adams also was named the Most Valuable Player.
In other Lady Tiger news, a second player from this year's squad will sign to play basketball in college as Leonard will officially commit to Cottey College at a signing ceremony Friday at Nevada High School.
Adams has already signed to play at NCAA Division II Truman State next season.
