KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday agreed to terms with linebacker Quinton Caver.
The 6-foot-4, 241-pound free agent signed a one-year contract, team president Carl Peterson said in a news release.
No further details of the agreement were announced.
Caver had four starts and played in all 16 games for the Chiefs last year, racking up a career-high 32 tackles. Caver also played heavily on special teams for the Chiefs.
The 26-year-old Southeastern Conference stand out from the University of Arkansas spent his inaugural season with Philadelphia before signing with Kansas City near the middle of the 2002 season Caver, a native of Anniston, Ala., has played 45 games in his four-year NFL career.
Caver is the second linebacker to re-sign with the Chiefs in the last week. Scott Fujita re-signed Saturday.
