Sheldon grads look forward to a bright future

At 3 p.m., Sunday, May 15, Sheldon High School graduates came into the auditorium as students -- and left a short time later, as graduates embarking on a journey into the future.
Jerry Janes presented Rotary Club awards and offered words of advice to the students, encouraging them to build a bright future of hope.
Speeches were delivered by the valedictorian and others. Class Salutatorian Jessie Moore not only gave a speech but sang the song "Hero" as well followed by Valedictiorian Deana Hoffman's address.
The Class Will denoting special things the class of 2005 left behind -- some serious, some funny --was delivered by Breanna Sheridan.
Marie Keel gave the class prophecy, filled with the hopes and dreams for the future. Following the formal presentation of the class by superintendent Phyllis Sprenkle and presentation of diplomas and awards, a slide show was also displayed, featuring photos and music. A benediction was offered by Jared McPeak.
