DYS holds graduation and job fair

The Missouri Division of Youth Services; Southwest Region will hold a graduation ceremony and job fair on May 19, at Remington's, 1655 W. Republic Road, in Springfield. A job fair for graduates and their families will begin at 3 p.m. Graduation will commence at 5 p.m. followed by a reception.

The ceremony honors more than 55 youth from several parts of the region who have earned their GED or high school diploma.

The Job Fair allows them to talk with local businesses and schools about future employment and education opportunities.

Greene County Commissioner Roseann Bentley will be the keynote speaker for the graduation and celebration, Scholarships will be awarded by area liaison councils with comments and accolades as well.
