"Katy" traffic is tied up
VINITA, I.T. -- About 25 yards of the Missouri Kansas & Texas railroad track was washed out at White Oak creek, 5 miles south of here yesterday morning. The heavy rainfall early yesterday morning has caused all the streams in this section to overflow and more washouts are expected. Train service over the "Katy" is entirely blocked from the south.

Miniature golf course to be
established
Nevada has entered the list of cities that enjoy the latest sport, golf on miniature golf courses of which so much has been said during recent weeks. The miniature course furnishes much entertainment and recreation and everywhere the courses have been established they have attracted hundreds of men, women and children. The facility is to be established by the Thomas Brothers of Kansas City, one of whom is "Lefty" Thomas, the former Kansas City Blues baseball pitcher. They have secured the J.K. Hill lot at the junction of highway No. 71 and 54, immediately west of the subway. In addition to the miniature golf course they are going to maintain a refreshment stand, featuring "hotdogs."
The place will be brilliantly lighted and made an attractive place to visit. Work on the golf course will start on Thursday and within a few days will be opened to the public.
