Neptunes compete in Lamar

The Nevada Neptunes swim team was in Lamar Saturday and Sunday, competing in an invitational swim meet.

Placing first were Zach Collins in the B Division of the 8-and-under 25 yard freestyle; Lindsey Webb in the B Division age 15-18 50 yard backstroke; Webb in the B Division age 15-18 200 Individual Medley; and Kristen Badgley in the A Division age 15-18 50 backstroke with a pool record of 31.18 seconds.

Badgley also placed second her age group in the 200 freestyle and the 50 freestyle. Also taking second were the team of Zach Collins, Andrew Quitno, Jesse Claypool and Andrew Messick in the boys 8-and-under 100 medley relay; the team of Collins, Quitno, Claypool and Myles Coffer in the B Division of the 8-and-under 100 freestyle relay; Jacob Johnson in the boys B Division of the 6-and-under 25 freestyle; Messick in the boys 8-and-under 25 backstroke; and Dustin Eador in the boys B Division 8-and-under 25 freestyle.

Taking third were the girls team of Caitlyn Cable, Brook Munsterman, Logan Baldwin and Michele Forster in the B Division 100 relay; Erin Quest in the girls age 13-14, B Division 50 breaststroke; Messick in the boys B Division 8-and-under 25 breaststroke; Cable in the girls 10-and-under, B Division 100 freestyle; Johnny Quitno in the boys 10-and-under, B Division 50 freestyle; Badgley in the girls age 15-18, A Division, 50 butterfly; Emily Ricketts in the girls age 15-18, B Division, 50 backstroke; Andrew Quitno in the boys 8-and-under, B Division, 25 freestyle; and Megan Hold in the girls 6-and-under 25 freestyle.

Finishing fourth were Hunter Richmond in the girls 8-and-under, B Division, 25 breaststroke; Andrew Quitno in the boys 8-and-under, B Division, 25 butterfly; Cable in the girls 10-and-under, B Division, 50 butterfly; Johnny Quitno in the boys 6-and-under, B Division 25 backstroke and the A Division 25 freestyle.

Placing fifth were Melanie Messick in the girls age 13-14, B Division, 50 freestyle; Andrew Quitno in the boys 8-and-under, B Division, 100 Individual Medley, the 50 freestyle and the 25 breaststroke; Morgan Hold in the boys 10-and-under, B Division, 100 IM; Badgley in the girls age 15-18, A Division, 100 freestyle; and Ricketts in the girls age 15-18, B Division 50 breaststroke.

Taking sixth were Claypool in the boys 8-and-under, B Division, 100 IM; Ricketts in the girls 15-18, B Division, 50 butterfly; Morgan Hold in the boys 10-and-under, A Division, 50 breaststroke.

Placing seventh were the girls team of Shelby Thorns, Elizabeth Quitno, Megan Messick and Katie Kerby in the age 11-12 200 medley relay; Morgan Hold in the boys 10-and-under, A Division, 50 freestyle; Ricketts in the girls 15-18, B Division, 200 IM; Zach Cullison in the boys 10-and-under, B Division, 50 freestyle; and the girls team of Messick, Quitno, Shelby Thorns and Ashley Coffer in the 11-12, A Division, 100 freestyle relay.

The Neptunes host Lamar tonight in a dual beginning at 6 p.m., at Walton Aquatic Center.
