Royal Readers

Royal Readers gathered together for the last time Wednesday at the Nevada Public Library to receive their crowns and enjoy refreshments while "Storming the Castle" using marshmallows as ammunition for catapaults. More than 150 children signed up for the summer reading program and the average attendance was 80 for each session. Children's librarian Martha Bledsoe said she's very pleased with the turnout and with the efforts the children made, and the royal readers also will be rewarded with an overnight event next Wednesday.
