Forkner places at national championships

Austin Forkner, Richards, competed in the 2005 Grand National Championship Motocross Race in Ponca City, Okla., July 24-30. Forkner, 6, placed seventh in the 50 cc Stock Class and 10th in the 50 cc Modified Class. Forkner raced in the 4- to 6-year-old age group. In the Modified Class, there were 36 of the fastest youth competitors in the world as three countries and 20 states were represented. Forkner was in the championship races representing the state of Missouri. Austin is the son of Mike and Julie Forkner, of Richards.
