Eighth-grade team wins pair

The Nevada Middle School girls' basketball eighth-grade team won a pair of games recently, but also dropped one.
NMS defeated Joplin North on Nov. 3, as the A-team won 31-17 and the B-team won 35-6.
The A-team was led by Heather Thomas with 10 points, and Lauren Klinksick scored six.
In the B-game Mary Ann Kennon led the way with 12 points and Rachel Kennedy added eight.
Both teams were in action again Monday as they took on Carthage. The A-team fell 34-25, and the B-team lost 24-15.
The A-team was led by Thomas in that game as well, as she poured in 22 points.
In the B-game it was Emily Watts with five points and Kennon with four to lead Nevada.
Wednesday the A-team was on the court one more time, defeating Stockton 39-17.
Davin Smith scored 10 points to lead Nevada, and Audrey Daniels added eight.
The Nevada Middle School records after Wednesday's action were 4-2 for the A-team and 3-2 for the B-team.
