Smith-Bichara nuptials

Jana Lynn Smith and Elias Audu Paul Bichara were married Dec. 31, 2005, at the St. Peters Catholic Church in Joplin.

Parents of the couple are Dan and Joy Smith of Nevada, Mo., and Hawa Bichara of Jos Nigeria and the late Paul Bichara.

Monsignor Stephen A. Schneider officiated the ceremony; soloist Shari Barwick and pianist Susan Marek provided music.

Attending the couple were maid of honor Lacy Smith, the bride's sister; bridesmaids Tabitha Longobardi, Heather Engleman and Brandi Shipley; flower girls, Avery Smith, niece of the bride, and Rachel Nevill; best man, Charbel Bichara, the groom's brother; groomsmen Jared Jefferson, Beau Davis and Osa Obasuyi; ring bearer Hayden Smith, the bride's nephew; and ushers, Scott Smith, the bride's brother, and Joe Cupp and Tim Nafziger.

A reception followed at the Butcher's Block Reception Center in Joplin.

Following a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple reside in Joplin.
