Soil and Water Conservation District to hold annual dinner

The 44th annual Vernon County Soil and Water Conservation District dinner will be held at 7 p.m., March 31, at the Vernon County fairgrounds in Centennial Park, Nevada.

The event features a free chicken dinner for those who attend. A host of awards will also be presented during the evening, including the 2005 conservation farmer, the 2005 Grassland farmer, and student conservation poster awards. Schools with students participating in the contest are Bronaugh Sheldon, Nevada, St. Mary's, Northeast Vernon County and the Seventh Day Adventist Christian Academy. The event is open to the public.
