Tiger track participates in Neosho JV meet
NEOSHO, Mo. -- The Nevada track team sent a contingent to Neosho for a 9th/10th grade meet Tuesday, and they came home with three individual victories.
Taylor Means won both the 100 meters and the 200. Her 100 time was 13.03 seconds, easily the best in the field. Her time of 27.90 in the 200 also was a solid winner.
Jacob Cherry won the boys' triple jump with a distance of 38 feet, 3 inches.
Megan Smith finished third in the 100 hurdles, with a time of 18.05.
Meanwhile, Means was third in the 400, while Smith finished fourth.
Erica Becker took third in the 300 hurdles.
Derek Nelson was fifth in the boys' high jump with a height of 5 feet.
Chelsie Johnson was sixth in the girls' high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 2 inches.
Jacob Query placed seventh in the 1,600.
The next scheduled JV meet is in Jopin Tuesday.
