Streich inducted to NHS Hall

Ed Streich, 1975 Nevada High School graduate, was inducted to the NHS Athletics Hall of Fame during halftime of the Nevada-Carthage football game at Logan Field Friday.

Streich was a two-sport star athlete, gaining all-conference and all-district honors as a defensive back in football and at one time holding the Nevada track and field pole vault record. He competed in track at Central Missouri State University.

Streich went on to coach track at Carthage for 13 years, winning 10 conference titles.
