Jim Lee Flewelling
Jim Lee Flewelling, 62, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born Feb. 8, 1944, in Sheldon, Mo., to Roy A. Flewelling and Elizabeth Bertha Bayerkohler Flewelling.
Jim grew up in the rural Montevallo area. He graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1962. Jim farmed his whole life and was also a real estate agent for six years with Strout Realty. He was a past member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Milo, Mo.
Survivors include one son, Shane Flewelling, Milo; one daughter, Martine Simrell, Nevada; one stepson, Jeremy Simrell, Joplin, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kylie Jo Flewelling, Brian Steckman, and Serinity Steckman; three brothers, Charles Flewelling, Milo, Richard Flewelling, Deer Park, Texas, and Tom Flewelling, Milo; two sisters, Jean Norris, Winchester, Kan., and Ada Fisher, Pasadena, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with John Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
