Emmett M. Hogan
Emmett M. Hogan, 91, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, following a sudden illness. He was born Oct. 13, 1915. in Bates County, Mo., to George Washington Hogan and May Feeny Hogan. He was married to Louise Arrasmith on May 27, 1938, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.
Emmett grew up around the Bates-Vernon County area. He worked 36 years for Missouri Pacific Railroad and retired in 1977. He accepted the Lord and was baptized at Pine Street Baptist Church at age 80.
In addition to his wife, Louise, survivors include three daughters, Beverly Fox and Jack, Milo, Marilyn Moore and Larry, Springfield, Mo., and Joy Preston and Johnny, Nevada; one son, Gerald H. Hogan and Rhoda, San Antonio, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Lynda Hogan. Nevada, Mo., 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Frank Hogan, Nevada, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Chuck Hogan in January 2003, two brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at Ferry Funeral Home with Rev. David Landwehr officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
The family suggests that memorials, in his honor, may be made to Pine Street Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
