Youth wrestlers competing again

With the Nevada Youth Wrestling Club now back in action, the NYWC had 14 members visit Diamond for a tournament Saturday.

Eight of the wrestlers came home with medals.

Colby Smith won his weight class in his age group. Caleb Longobardi took second in his weight class, Jacob Johnson also was second, Lucas Denman took second, Regar Hardin was third, C.J. Otter was fourth, Clayton Harreld was fourth and True Beisly was fourth.

Chance Gray, Daxtyn Osburn, Colby Charles, Chance Mays, Zane Shepherd and Zach Shepherd also wrestled in the competition.

There were eight wrestlers in the Sunday novice tournament, also in Diamond.

Colton McDowell won his weight class.

Dayton Miller, Zachary Gardner, Cole Cooper and Van Celaya were all second.

Josh McDowell, Dylan Hyder and Clay Landoll were all third.

The next tournament for the club will be Dec. 30-31 in Belton.
