Coral M. Gullett
Coral M. Gullett, 75, Parsons, Kan., died at 7:35 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the Elmhaven West Nursing Home in Parsons, following a lengthy period of failing health. She was born Nov. 23, 1931, at Nottinghill, Mo., to Ben and Jewl (Pippin) Harley.
She grew up in the Nottinghill and Gainsville, Mo., areas. She graduated from the Gainsville High School. She moved to Parsons in February of 1951 and on June 30, 1951, was married to Donald W. Gullett, at Mountain Home, Ark. She had lived in Parsons since her marriage.
She worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in 1951-'52 and again from 1967 until her retirement in 1986 as quality control supervisor. Mrs. Gullett was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church of Parsons. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Gullett of the home; three sons, Michael Gullett and his wife Deby of Carl Junction, Mo., Buddy Gullett and his wife Susy of Nevada and Jeff Gullett and his wife Becky of Marceline, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Micah, Adam, Kaitlin, Caleb and Josie Gullett; two brothers, Clinton Harley of Thornfield, Mo., and Cary Harley of Theodosia, Mo.; five sisters, Thelma Platt of Rolla, Mo., Charlene Myers of Seymour, Mo., June Moon of Garfield, Ark., Helen Scates of Eureka Springs, Ark. and Deloria Garrett of Kansas City, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gladys Henry.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 3, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Dutton officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons.
