Norma B. Miller
Norma B. Miller, 83, Nevada, Mo., passed away Monday, April 9, 2007, at her home in Nevada following alengthy illness. She was born March 29, 1924, in Salem, Ore., to James Andrew Dodge and Callie Mae Barnes Dodge. She Married Gregg M. Miller on Oct. 2, 1944, in Austin, Texas, he preceded her in death on June 1, 1984.
Norma grew up in the Bronaugh area and graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1942. She was a beautician all of her life in Nevada and retired after many years from Nevada Habilitation Center in 1986. She was a lifelong resident of Vernon County. Norma was a member of the Community of Christ Church.
Survivors include six children, Cathie Ann Gilliland and her husband, Ron, Poplar Bluff, Mo., James E. Miller and his wife, Carol, Shelia Harper, Michael G. Miller and his wife, Margaret, Karan Sue Osmond and her husband, Kevin, all of Nevada, and Edwina "Katie" Scott and her husband, Kip, Sioux Falls, S.D.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Keating and her husband, Darrell, Moundville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Bill Burnsworth; half brother, Pete Dodge; son-in-law, Lawrence Harper; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, April 12, at Ferry Funeral Home with, Tom Pyle officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, at the funeral home.
