Freshman baseball falls

The Nevada Tiger freshman baseball team tied in one game with Carthage, then lost the nightcap.

Nevada and Carthage were scheduled to play two five-inning games, but the first went seven innings before ending in a 4-4 tie.

Carthage won the second game 3-2 in only three innings played.

Both teams will be in a freshman tournament in Joplin today.

The varsity game at Harrisonville Tuesday was postponed to May 4, while yesterday's scheduled game at Butler has been postponed to an unknown date.
